Canice’s Kitchen in the News

Canice’s Kitchen in the News

Last week, ABC Sydney wrote an article on St Canice’s Kitchen and it’s upcoming 30th Anniversary. Our Wednesday group featured in the article about the kitchen, and the 50,000 meals we provide each year to the homeless and disadvantaged community. A journalist Harriet Tatham, came early Wednesday morning to speak with the volunteers and the guests in the kitchen. Below are some of the photos she took on the day.

The best part of the article were the things that our guests had to say about us.

“If it wasn’t for this place, I don’t know where I would be today, so I’m very, very grateful.”

“People need to come to a place where they feel safe and comfortable and meet new friends and share stories with each other. That’s St Canice’s.”
