NAME: Sue Buckingham
BORN: Sydney 1949
LIVE: Kellyville
SNAPSHOT OF DAILY LIFE: I live with my husband Lewis, a vet, above the Veterinary Clinic – also at home still are one son, and our younger daughter who has a C.P. I facilitate David’s Place, a space for prayer and fellowship in Surry Hills for marginalised people. I enjoy music, photography and reading.
PART OF ST CANICE’S SINCE: I’ve been floating around the Kitchen since 1995 but became a parishioner in 2012.
WHERE WILL YOU FIND ME: Usually, Sunday 10.30 am Mass. Often help distribute Communion. Drive some people to Mass.
WHAT KEEP’S YOU COMING: It seems to be the place that the Lord wants me to be – it fits with me like a hand in a glove! Why is hard to explain – community sense; care for the poor; liturgy is just right for me – not too much of anything; prayerful masses, homilies that I get something out of, and Osai and Mary Topui.
