A Most interesting Nourish (Winter) Talks tonight – all part of the mix of ‘sustaining community’ at St Canice’s.
Costa Georgiadis, lovingly described by some as half man-half hedge, host of ABC TV’s Gardening Australia, Michael Mobbs, esteemed sustainability consultant, and Lucienne Joy, on-air radio personality and incisive interviewer were in conversation about food, ecological footprints, community, friendship, transformation, consumption and how living more sustainably in the city is only a few decisions away.
“When I grow something, something inside me grows”
Eighty guests enjoyed this sold-out event feasting on three courses of spectacular food from our friends at Seed2Soul washed down with glasses of mulled wine, warm cider and soy chai.
Proceeds of the Nourish Talks directly contribute funds to people who need it most. Tonight’s contribution provides for 400 extra meals at the Wednesday evening IOOSK (Inside Out Soup Kitchen) dinners.
Watch for announcements of the Nourish (Spring) Talk in October. Don’t miss out!
